The Active Men’s Team for the St Paul Bike Racing Club is an organization whose purpose is to create the team structure required to support any Category (1, 2, 3, 4 and 5) men’s member racers to develop the fitness, bike handling and race strategy skills, along with building the team relationships necessary to form not only a strong and successful racing team, but also promote the graduation of lower category racers to higher levels of competition.
Any registered male racer on SPBRC who has a desire to race and learn more about race tactics and general biking fitness is encouraged to join the team. The team will welcome members from any racing Category (1, 2, 3, 4 and 5) who are planning to compete in any of the seasonal road racing disciplines (Criteriums, Road Races and Circuit Races), as well as Time Trials.
- Frequency of Racing: No previous race experience is required. Members will, however, be required to race at least one event per year in order to maintain active status on the team.
- Licensing: Each member of the team will be required to purchase a yearly USA Cycling license in order to participate in sanctioned events. Daily licenses do not satisfy the licensing requirement.
- Liability: Each member shall sign a waiver of liability, releasing the team and SPBRC of any liability while participating in team rides, sanctioned races or other team events.
- Fees: There are no membership fees for the Men's Active Team outside of the general annual membership fee required to join SPBRC.
